Currently there is an office located on almost every continent of the world. All offices are designed to provide services to the members and coordinate events and educational opportunities in the region they serve.
The Energy Policy office is one exception to this. It is a presence in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. Due to the legislative impact upon the petroleum industry, the AAPG and its Division of Professional Affairs opened the Energy Policy office – also known as the GEO-DC office – to provide information to the U.S. Government and its leadership so more informed decisions could be made.
